For a few years now, we’ve run an initiative called Goodstuff LovesWe see it as an opportunity to publicly shine ‘the light of love’ on 14 amazing people and initiatives in our industry, who we think have done something amazing during the past 12 months.

In a year in which so many people and organisations stepped up in the face of many challenges, choosing our 14 loves was a mighty task, but we hope you’ll agree they all truly deserve it. To show them how much we adore them, we gave our 14 Loves a big shout out on our social channels and teamed up with The Good Egg to deliver bespoke bagels and babkas through their letterbox.

Our 2021 Goodstuff Loves are:

No.1: Our first love, is for the wonderful team at Creature London and Dan Cullen-Shute for setting the standard for flexible working within our industry with the 3:2 model. A brilliant initiative and, frankly, many of us are a little jealous we didn’t think of it first.

No.2: We love Natalie Cummins for winning  Media Week Awards Media Leader of the Year, leading the resurgence of Zenith Media UK and being a shining example of a super-woman. Promise we’re not sucking up to you as chair of Media Week Awards!

No.3: We love Ali Hanan for galvanising the industry for #AdlandCommits. Bringing over 200 industry leaders together to pledge solidarity with black talent by taking concrete steps to achieve greater equality within the creative sectors.

No.4: We love Jenny Biggam. The lovely team at The7stars may be our closest indie competitor but together we know how to show up for the indie sector! Thanks for, in a strange twist of fate, being in our AOTY video.

No.5: We love Vicky Bloyce at OMD EMEA, for sharing her mental health journey with the industry. Brave, inspirational and inspiring to many of our Goodstuffers. We applaud every single person who shares their mental health journey.

No.6: We love Channel 4 for bringing together the UK supermarkets for a first of its kind commercial break to take a stand against racism. Reactive and important messaging that needed to be shared.

No.7: We love industry legend, Claire Beale for her renowned legacy and amazing tenure at Campaign. Thank you for always supporting and believing in our journey and of course, your many appearances at our Media Showcase to fly the flag for media creativity.

No.8: We are incredibly grateful for our NHS, there isn’t enough love or thanks we can give them. We also wanted to shine the light on MullenLowe & OmniGov for their quick & reactive campaigns during the pandemic, keeping us all safe in these times.

No.9: We love Kerry Glazer for her outstanding tenure at NABS, the launch of #TimeTo was fundamental to our industry. We applaud you.

No.10: We love Rak Patel, one of the nicest guys in our industry and a phenomenal leader (recognised by Mediatel News as Media Leader of the Year). He sets an example of how to lead the charge for greater diversity and inclusion in our industry. What a guy!

No.11: We love Tess Alps for bossing the media industry, from being a pioneer of PHD, a titan of telly and a deity of decency. Next up a rock star of retirement and goddess of gardening. Honestly, to us, you will always be an industry legend.

No.12: We love the folks at Mother. Being good is fundamental to our industry and they do just that. Not only did they return their furlough cash they also started a media agency in the US, Media by Mother. Welcome to the good side, folks!

No.13: We love companies that do the right thing and ITV & Rufus do just that. By taking a stand against racism in support of Diversity’s Black Lives Matter performance, proving their commitment to climate change with a series of heartfelt ads, committing to ending loneliness with Britain Get Talking and running an ad to commend the powerful journalism from inside the US capitol riot. Brave, progressive, and important stuff.

No.14: Our final love…where would we be without our bloody amazing Goodstuffers? Their commitment, determination, and resilience this year has been unbelievable. We can’t shout about them enough. To our Goodstuffers, who make every day a proper exciting one.

Happy Valentine’s everyone and keep being good.
