We’re looking for an AV specialist with experience working on e-commerce clients to join our team as a Broadcast Director. This is a great opportunity for a manager looking to take a step up in their career into a junior director role. Experience working on DR and performance campaigns is a must as this role is within our DR team.

Experience & Skills:

  • Confident, committed and professional
  • Thorough knowledge of the fundamentals of Broadcast and media best practice
  • Extensive experience in TV buying and reporting tools such as MediaOcean, Techedge, AdvantEdge, DEN & TV Squared
  • Proven experience working on DR and performance campaigns and optimising them to CPA goals
  • A passion for Broadcast & Media effectiveness and the creation of ideas
  • A can-do attitude and positive approach, even in challenging situations
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (written and oral)
  • Good team player who is also a self-starter
  • Creative, analytical and numerical ability
  • Organised and excellent attention to detail
  • Effective time management skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams
  • Ability to think around problems and get to inventive solutions

In Detail

The Goodstuff Broadcast Director blends excellence in channel specific planning and investment with strong leadership skills, delivering great work, a happy team and delighted clients. They are responsible for leading responses to investment briefs, utilising their team & resources to deliver inventive and effective solutions. They have a thorough knowledge of investment best practice and provide strong, evidence-led recommendations to the planning team and our clients. They are expected to maintain good media owner relationships and inspire interest and engagement with the agency’s clients and campaigns.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead on a range of Broadcast briefs, translating media strategies into ideas and plans that lead to the very best results for clients
  • Lead on delivery of insightful PCAs
  • Confidentially interrogate and challenge briefs
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the role Broadcast plays in our clients’ business and in answering the brief
  • Confidently lead channel discussions in internal and media owner meetings
  • Own Senior media owner relationships across TV, VOD and Cinema
  • Manage negotiations with media owners with support from the department head on larger commercial arrangements.
  • Liaise with sales teams regarding issues escalated by the team, negotiating effectively to produce the best solutions for clients
  • Develop relationships with auditors and support your Group Director & Head of Department in the auditing process, whilst providing insight and education to the rest of the team on how the auditing process works and how to deliver against targets.
  • Take responsibility for monitoring and delivering bartered clients, making sure B/C opportunities are fully explored through communication with Barter reps, ensuring communication of budgets to our barter partners.
  • Become the Broadcast lead on integrating VOD into everyday practices, implementing use of KxM and well as encouraging better planning practices
  • Engage with industry developments and relevant media owners, identifying new opportunities for clients
  • Share best in practise Broadcast work and AV innovations with the wider agency
  • Demonstrate multi-channel awareness and Broadcast expertise in client meetings
  • Write and deliver integrated and compelling presentations
  • Direct day to day agenda, controlling workflow and deliverables – working closely with the planning teams to ensure work is delivered in an accurate and timely manner
  • Create clarity around team roles and responsibilities, skilfully delegating to ensuring the team are performing the right tasks
  • Responsible for the overall quality and delivery of work of direct reports
  • Create strong relationships with direct reports, providing regular feedback, productive appraisals and 1:1s
  • Encourage a culture of integration across departments
  • Understand and support the commercial requirements of the business
  • Oversee frictionless financial by instilling best practice across the team
  • Get bookings on the system promptly and accurately
  • Support direct reports in efficient management of invoicing processes and quick issue resolution
