The Requirements

We have an exciting new opportunity for an International Account Director to join us.  Working alongside Goodstuff and our partner, Local Planet, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing client relationships and media delivery across UK and International markets.

We’re looking for an agile and entrepreneurial candidate who will work with the Partners at Goodstuff and management team at Local Planet to drive and manage this growth.  The work will be varied, but hugely rewarding and the opportunity to shape something new at Goodstuff and beyond.

What you will bring…

  • comfortable leading and owning work as well as managing a team and many different stakeholders
  • a wealth of experience working with international clients from varied categories
  • knowledge and experience across Paid, Owned and Earned media
  • up to date with the current media landscape, trends and technology impacting the industry
  • communicates articulately and clearly to clients and agencies alike, especially around the specific roles for different communication channels (e.g. e-commerce)
  • makes the complex simple, by deftly summarising detail for clients, senior management and teams
  • a self starter who inspires others
  • demonstrates excellent presentation and process skills
  • contributes to a wider company culture and is a strong team player
  • strong emotional intelligence and able to translate client needs into appropriate and creative solutions

In Detail

Role & Responsibilities:

Existing Clients

  • Lead Goodstuff’s existing international accounts with varying needs in different categories
  • Help to identify and convert new client opportunities from within the Goodstuff client stable

Build & Maintain Key Relationships

  • Successfully manage and develop the UK and international media teams ensuring client service excellence as well as a happy and highly motivated team
  • Manage senior client relationships by leading and contributing to key client meetings
  • Alongside Goodstuff and Local Planet management teams, contribute to consistent ways of working and broadening capabilities
  • Uses influencing skills with senior clients, peers, team, Goodstuffers, Local Planet agencies and other agencies working with our clients
  • Driven to always over-deliver on overall client satisfaction

New Business/Local Planet

  • Be the Goodstuff (Local Planet GB) point person for Local Planet, supporting in pitches as well as managing UK requests into the network

Commercial

  • Strong understanding of how to construct commercial terms that are both fair for the client and for Goodstuff

Media Knowledge & Understanding

  • Previous experience, knowledge and understanding of media management from a global and UK role within a media agency
  • Passion for media and media creativity
