This time last week we gathered the creative agency community, clients and friends of Goodstuff at The Curzon Soho for our annual ‘Goodstuff Media Showcase’.
Our Media Showcase is an event for creative agencies to see the best opportunities, initiatives and ideas from the UK’s best media owners (as curated by Goodstuff). Everything launched or presented at our Media Showcase is exclusive to the event, designed to create as much media magic as possible and get as many of these ideas off the ground.
And we must say, it didn’t fail to impress whatsoever. In fact quite the opposite.
This year’s Media Showcase had it all: lycra, astronauts, Lego, celebrities and our very special guest speaker, Claire Beale. Mr. Simeon Adams brought charm and wit (as well as a few questionable jokes) and did a tremendous job of compering throughout the evening. It certainly wouldn’t be a Media Showcase without him.
The 8 shortlisted Media Owners who were chosen to showcase their stellar ideas this year were: Channel 4, Telegraph, Exterion, Global, Spotify, Snapchat, ITV and last year’s winner, Stylist.
Each presenter had only 6 minutes to sell their idea to our audience in hopes of taking home the Media Showcase crown, but above all, to collaborate with the creatives agencies and clients in the room.
I think it’s fair to say that this year certainly didn’t disappoint and we saw an array of outrageous and courageous ideas grace the stage.
But the star of the show was none other than Exterion, with ‘Get London Moving’. Their idea comes after the HFSS advertising ban on London transport: Exterion plan to turn the London Underground into its very own assault course, encouraging commuters through motivational branding to ‘get moving’ by taking the stairs or walking to their next Tube destination.
